Foundations of Cognition Series

Exploring brain, cognition, artificial intelligence and philosophy

The FCS is a monthly interdisciplinary lecture and discussion series organised by the Donders Institute and the Faculty of Philosophy, Theology and Religious Studies (PTRS). Our aim is to bring together philosophers, cognitive scientists, neuroscientists, and computational scientists to discuss current topics spanning our collective disciplines in an informal way.

Our meetings will take place by default every 1st Friday of the month from 16.00 to 17.30 in either the Oval Office or the Red Room of Trigon. No registration is required. Meetings consist out of a maximum 45-minute talk, followed by a maximum 45-minute round-table discussion. We aim for an informal, yet focused in-depth discussion of topics. After the meeting there is a possibility for further discussion over drinks at the Cultuur Café.
