Research Objectives

Chemometrics is the discipline within Chemistry that develops methods to obtain information by optimizing experimental design, data processing, calibration, quality control and organisation of the analytical process. Increasingly, Chemometrical methodologies and techniques are also applied for the optimization of molecular structures with respect to their properties and (bio)chemical activity and for the processing and interpretation of (medical) multivariate images.

The department is a member of the Working Group on Chemometrics of the Section Analytical Chemistry from the Royal Netherlands Chemical Society (KNCV).

Large Chemometrics project in first TA-coast call

The project "Analysis of Large data sets By Enhanced Robust Techniques" ('ALBERT') is one of 3 IMM projects that were granted in this call.

COAST grant of 400 to 500 euro per month for excellent Molecular Sciences students
In cooperation with COAST, a network of Dutch Analytical Chemistry industries the Radboud University and the University of Amsterdam developed a challenging honours master track.
Very good and highly motivated students can apply for the COAST honours program if:

They are willing to spend extra time and effort in the study
They are keen on working together with one of the industrial COAST partners
