For the next 6 years, Radboud will be the national coordinator for the interdisciplinary theme 'The Human Factor in New Technologies' within the Dutch sector plans in the social sciences. The theme focuses on the impact of (digital) technologies on societies through their use, as well as how social science knowledge can be used to improve technology design.
More than 10 new assistant professors and postdocs have been appointed on this theme. In addition, substantial research is conducted on this topic by Radboud staff not directly employed on sector plans funds, both in the social sciences and in other disciplines. To connect researchers related to the theme and kickstart interdisciplinary work on the connections between humans and technologies, we organise a Radboud-wide event on Wednesday, November 22.
