Ruddy Faure awarded with Marie Slodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship
Recently, Ruddy Faure has been awarded a Marie Slodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship from the European Commission to work on a 3-year research project entitled “Understanding the role of automatic partner attitudes in relationship functioning” in joint collaboration with Johan Karremans at Radboud University and Jim McNulty at Florida State University. This integrative project aims to examine the role of automatic partner attitudes (i.e., the spontaneous evaluative responses toward one’s romantic partner, as assessed by indirect, implicit measures) in promoting well-functioning relationships. To do so, we will combine fine-grained longitudinal, observational, and experimental research methods to investigate how automatic partner attitudes form and affect relationship interactions in everyday life and further test the effectiveness of interventions targeting at such attitudes to improve both the functioning and the well-being of romantic couples. The action will start in September 2022 and will involve a 2-year research visit at Florida State University before returning to Radboud University during the last year.
