Title:
Effects of Cross-Cultural Expertise Sharing on Innovation in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Abstract:

The international community of child and adolescent psychiatry could play an important role in furthering the knowledge to improve mental health care of children with psychiatric vulnerability. However, much of this expertise seems to remain within national borders and cultural frames of thinking. We argue that there may be great potential to improve the quality of mental health care by sharing expertise between psychiatric hospitals working in different cross-border and cultural contexts. This project aims to investigate the effect of cross-cultural expertise sharing on innovation in child and adolescent psychiatry using data from Dutch and German mental health care hospitals.
