Amalia Gomoiu

Amalia is a Junior Honours student from the University of Glasgow, however, at the moment she is doing a year abroad at Radboud University Nijmegen, where she is conducting research on how people use facial cues to infer personality traits and emotional states. She is mainly interested in stereotyping, prejudice and how people respond to social cues, particularly information that is visible in faces, but also how the visual system learns about faces.

Presently, she is part of the EFPSA Junior Researcher Programme and doing research on obesity discrimination in the workplace. Her project aims to identify: the extent to which obese employees are discriminated against; how obese employees are perceived; and the impact of obesity discrimination.
