Welcome Michelle and Elsa

Date of news: 19 September 2022

Grammar and Cognition is happy to welcome a new PhD candidate, Michelle Suijkerbuijk, and student assistant, Elsa Opheij.

Michelle Suijkerbuijk, who was previously a student assistant at the group, will be working on the project Deep Learning Across Languages: Cross-linguistic syntactic learning abilities of artificial neural network.

Student assistant Elsa is a second-year student of the research master's Linguistics and Communication Sciences and already familiar with our group as well. Elsa: 'During my bachelor's degree in Linguistics, I carried out an Honours project at Grammar and Cognition together with two fellow students, which I really enjoyed. I am very happy to be working with this research group again and I am looking forward to supporting the Grammar and Cognition researchers in their research tasks.'
