How to get to the Max Planck Institute
The Max Planck Institute is located approximately 4 km south of the centre of Nijmegen. Although it overlooks one of the city’s main thoroughfares, it is tucked away in the woods, sheltered from the noise and bustle of the city.

There are many direct bus lines from Nijmegen central train station to the Institute. There is a map available with all bus lines in Nijmegen. From the stops 'UMC Sint Radboud' and 'Erasmusgebouw', walk towards the Erasmuslaan and enter the Comeniuslaan, walk straight ahead and enter the small forest path in the direction of the institute. You will find the main entrance on your left. From the stop 'Houtlaan' walk towards the St. Annastraat and turn right into the Wundtlaan driveway where there is a big sign with the institute name on it.
Follow highway direction Nijmegen, take exit Malden, follow signs Malden + Ziekenhuizen, drive straight through Malden, after approx. 2 km. you will see McDonalds to your right, at the traffic light drive straight on till the next traffic light, turn right, after 40 m. you will see the Max Planck Institute sign, turn left into the Wundtlaan driveway and drive to the MPI parking space.
It costs approximately € 10 to get from the train station to the Institute. You can either get a taxi at the taxi stand at the station or you can phone for one, call number 0900-9292 and ask for Taxi service. If you need a taxi from the Institute to the station, you can also ask the reception to phone for you.
