Pre-Master's programme

Pre-Master's programme

Radboud University’s Faculty of Science offers students from Dutch Universities of Applied Science (i.e. HBO students) a pre-Master’s or minor programme.

  • Pre-Master's programme: The aim of the pre-Master's is to eliminate deficiencies and develop the skills that are needed for the Master's programme in Computing Science. It starts in September and generally consists of 30 EC (one semester). For students with extra deficiencies, we offer a tailor-made programme.
The pre-Master’s programme in Computing Science contains courses in English as well as Dutch and is limited to the specialisations in Software Science, Data Science and Cyber Security. Students wishing to take the specialisation in Mathematical Foundations of Computer Science must have a completed academic Bachelor's in Mathematics or in Computing Science to be admitted into this programme.

  • HBO-Minor: This programme is intended for Dutch HBO-students in their third or fourth year, who want to take a minor programme (a set of courses of 30 EC) at Radboud University. If you’re planning on continuing your studies with a Master’s degree at Radboud University, you can use this minor programme towards bridging the gap and take courses from the pre-Master's programme in Computing Sciences.

See our pre-Master prospectus for more details.
