Transition rules

General transition rules

  • Some courses in the master Computing Science are offered once every two years, alternating with other courses. In general, at the request of students who did not pass the exam last year and who need to complete the course to obtain their degree this year, one exam opportunity can be scheduled in the year in which they are not offered. If this applies to you, please contact the study advisor or coordinator of studies before November 1st.

  • The set of courses that are eligible as specialisation electives in the master specialisation Mathematical Foundations of Computing Science has been reduced. As of 2018-2019, the following courses no longer qualify as electives in this context (this does not apply to students who started their master programme in 2017 or before):
    • NWI-I00032 Advanced Programming
    • NWI-IMC004 Compiler Construction
    • NWI-IMC046 Model Checking
    • NWI-NB054E Statistical Machine Learning
    • NWI-IMC035 Software Analysis
    • NWI-WB070B Intuitionistic Mathematics
    • NWI-WM040B Philosophy of Mathematics
    • NWIWM038B Axiomatic Set Theory
    • NWI-WM135 Independence Proofs in Set Theory
