Speaker graduation ceremony Master’s

A speaker is present to address the graduates during the Faculty of Science Master’s graduation ceremony. You will be asked who you wish to address you when you apply for your graduation. Below, you will find information per institute on who you can request (should you choose to be present at the ceremony). Please inform your supervisor if you have chosen them to be your speaker. Exam administration will let them know that you have chosen them as a speaker about eight weeks prior to the ceremony and inform them on what they are expected to do. If the chosen speaker is unavailable, a replacement will be requested or a video message can be recorded.

You will also give a short presentation yourself during the ceremony (if time allows and excluding Bio Sciences). If you are expected to do this, you will receive notice and information with the official invite which is sent 3 weeks prior to the ceremony.

Bio Sciences
The standard speaker in Master’s ceremonies is the first supervisor (could be external) of one of the two internships. If the external supervisor cannot attend, the second supervisor can also be the speaker.
