*Students of the English Language and Culture specialisation choose three electives in the second semester of the B2 to a total of 15 EC. These electives cover courses in the fields of English linguistics and British and American literary and cultural studies (see overview below). Students can choose freely from these courses, but they are advised to take courses that prepare for the entry requirements of a relevant MA programme, such as the MA Linguistics, the MA Literary Studies, or the MA North America Studies. It is possible to expand the elective Translation Dutch-English and English-Dutch to 15 EC with an translation internship.
