Master degree
You complete the Master’s programme in Theology once you have concluded all the compulsory components. You thereby prove that you have mastered the requisite academic education and that you have passed the Master's thesis examination. You are awarded a Master of Arts (MA) degree, which is stated on the examination certificate. You should at all times allow for a minimum graduation period of one month and report to the student administration well before the start of this period. The Examination Board starts the evaluation procedure and decides whether to award the degree once you have met all of the requirements.
Degree classifications
Please see Rules and Regulations for more information on the rules governing the award of degrees.
Church validation/mission
If you envisage church validation for a theology degree that you have obtained and/or a church mission in a Dutch diocese, please contact the dean of the Special Faculty of Theology.
