Programme of Science in Society

Dear student,

We are working on solutions for hybrid education that will take place online and on campus. Therefore the instructional modes, number of exams, the form of the exams and/or assignments may change. You will be informed through Brightspace in case of changes. The course information in the Course guide provides an indication of what you can expect in the course.

In the case of not being able to attend one or more practical courses/lab days due to corona measures, the course coordinator will decide if the student is obligated to re-take the missed meeting and how this will take place.

The curriculum of the Master's specialisation Science in Society is a mix of courses that belong to your Master's programme (60 EC) and SiS-specifc courses and activities (60 EC).

Offically you follow your masterspecific programme in the first year of your master, and the SiS-courses and activities in the second year. However, due to personal planning you may deviate from this.

  • Compulsory courses (24 EC)
  • Elective (3 EC) has to be related to the subject of the research project and needs to be approved by Ms Krabbenborg (coordinator).
  • Free elective (3 EC)
  • Research Project (30 EC)

All courses can also be taken as an elective in other Master's specialisations (except the course Methods in Societal Research: Science in Society).
