Library of Science in the Huygens building

Due to corona measures, services might currently be different. Please consult this website for the most recent information.

University Library

The University Library has a couple of locations across campus. There is a Central Library, as well as three smaller faculty libraries. The Library of Science is one of them. In every library location, a broad collection of books, journals, and reference books are available for the relevant fields of study. Borrowing books is free when using your student card. In RUQuest, which contains our online Catalogue, you can find at which library a particular book or journal is available. When books are in closed stacks, you can request them via RUQuest. Mandatory study literature that is available as e-book is compiled in this LibGuide.

More information on the University Library can be found on this webpage. Resources specific for disciplines of the Faculty of Science, check our Library Guide Science.

For off-campus access you can log in using your RU account. An increasing number of books can be consulted from home as e-book. Visit this page for more information.

Library of Science in the Huygens building

The Library of Science is located on the ground floor of the Huygens building (HG 00.11).

Apart from books and research articles, the Library of Science offers study spaces. On all computers in our library you can work with both LINUX and Microsoft. Several software packages are available as well. Next to regular study spaces, there are some work spaces to work alone in a screened-off place, as well as group work places. Several small discussion rooms are available for reservation.
