Matlab

- Matlab: The software package Matlab (see also: http://www.mathworks.com/products/matlab/) is a powerful tool that is widely used in the cognitive neurosciences; it is therefore highly recommended that you have some basic knowledge on Matlab. For example, Matlab can be used to analyze data (e.g., fMRI, MEG, EEG) but also to present experiments. A number of possibilities to acquaint yourself with Matlab are listed below. However, note that when taking on these courses for credit, these credits will not count towards the 120 ECs needed to graduate for the CNS programme.

- SOW-PSB3BC35N Signal analysis & Matlab Credits: 4 ECs
Lecturer: dr. ing. L.P.J. Selen

Bachelor's course given in English. Computer practical exercises should also be handed in in English. Note that a similar course is being taught by Dr. Selen at the AI department. The course MKI54 is a Master’s level course within the AI programme. This means that the credits for this course may be taken as part of your elective coursework (3 ECs). However, it is important to emphasize that for this course a background in programming is necessary.

- NWI-MOL033: Programmeren in Matlab Bachelor's course given in Dutch by dr. P.J.M. van Bentum. The lectures are in Dutch, but all assignments and materials are in English.
