Minor Neurophilosophy

Minor Neurophilosophy 2019-2020

Introduction: This minor enables students to deepen their philosophical understanding of cognitive neuroscience, its foundations and implications. There are two versions of the minor: a ‘basic’ version, which consists of 16 ECs, and an ‘extended’ version, which consists of 30 ECs.

For the basic minor, only 1 philosophy of mind and language course can be selected (max 10 ECs). For the extended version, no more than 2 philosophy of mind and language courses can be selected (max 20 ECs). To obtain a minor Neurophilosophy certificate, students have to complete at least 1 philosophy of mind and language course

  • SOW-MKI40 Cognition and Complexity (continues in period 4, for a total of 6 ECs)

SOW-MKI67 Ethics for Artificial Intelligence (& Cognitive Neuroscience) (continues in period 2, for a total of 6 ECs, has the possibility for a separate exam of 3 ECs)
