*Students of the specialisation in English Language and Culture are expected to choose three internal electives to specialise in aspects of their major (for a total of 15 ECTS) in the second semester of B2. These electives relate to English linguistics and British and American literature and culture. Although students can choose freely from these courses, they are advised to take courses that prepare them for satisfying the entry requirements of any master’s degree programme they may wish to follow onto (such as Linguistics, Letterkunde  or North-American Studies).
