Programme B3 (Cohort 2019, third year)

The third year offered in 2021-2022 is the final year of the curriculum that started in 2019. As of this curriculum, there are three specialisation tracks of 12 EC each:

  • Software Science (12 EC)
  • Data Science (12 EC)
  • Cyber Security (12 EC)

and students choose two out of three, comrpising 24 ec in total. According to the programme, you have taken one full specialisation in the second year, as well as one course of the second specialisation. In the third year, you complete the remaining course(s) of your second specialisation.

Below you find a schematic overview of the third year programme as implemented in academic year 2020-2021. Courses that are included in both tracks are listed first; after that, track specific courses are listed. In Q4, the course NWI-IBC047 Law, Privacy and Identity is offered for the first time. This course contains the joint content of the previous courses NWI-IBC037 Law for Computer Scientists and NWI-IBC038 Privacy and Identity. If you are studing in curriculum 2028 or before and still need to complete the original courses, please check the transition rules and consult the study advisor.

The full curriculum of cohort 2019 (first, second and third year) including specialisation tracks, semester planning and EC per course can be found in this PDF (pdf, 244 kB). For a more detailed view of the relations between courses, you may check the "poster overview (pdf, 766 kB)".

N.B. If you started your studies in cohort 2018 or before but still need to take some courses of your third year, please check the transition rules to see the overview of changes and their consequences. If you need help planning your programme, please consult your study advisor.
