General information about minors at FNWI
The faculty of Science offers Minor programme's for their own students as well as students from other faculties or universities. Note that it is compulsory for Faculty of Science students to register for a minor in Osiris.
For students of this faculty, some minors have been approved by the Examination Board beforehand. The automatically approved minors differ per study programme. In the overview of minors, it is indicated which minors can be followed without the need for approval beforehand by the Examination Board. Via the links describing the minors themselves, you can find more information regarding the courses that are offered in a minor and any admission requirements of the courses / minor.
Students from other faculties are open to choose FNWI-minors, it is however their own responsibility to have attained entry-level knowledge for the relevant programme. Further information for students from other faculties can be found here.
Composing your own free minor
It is always possible to compose your own minor. Your free minor has to be approved by your Examination Board, who will assess your chosen courses on academic level and coherence between them. A free minor must contain 15-30ec and no (substantial) overlap between the minor and your curriculum is allowed (see EER).
