Funding possibilities
Travel to and from Tilburg
If you as a Nijmegen student do not have a student season ticket, you can have your travel costs to and from Tilburg reimbursed. This only holds for travel costs incurred for attending classes and exams for the following compulsory courses: Foundations of language and communication, Term paper, Statistics I, Statistics II, Research orientation and Valorisation.
You have to complete an expense claim form and attach the original tickets.
Instructions about completing the expense claim form can be found here (Declaration form non employee). NOTE: The financial department is very strict and they do not hesitate to return incomplete forms. Please keep in mind that your entitlement to reimbursement lapses if your claim is not submitted within three months after incurring the expenses.
Attending conferences
The research master’s programme wishes to encourage students to attend conferences. Students are eligible to a one-time financial contribution from the Graduate School for the Humanities (GSH) to attend a national or international conference.
- Who: research master students
- What: subsidy for attending a conference or a workshop or symposium (with the exception of the national research schools)
- Application: you can apply by filling out this form (pdf, 126 kB). Note that applications need to be approved by the tutor, or the internship or thesis supervisor.
Each student may submit one application for no more than 300 euros during the research master’s programme.
After the event students should present a cost statement, listing all expenses made and including all invoices and receipts.
Going abroad
Please contact the International Office Arts for funding possibilities if you want to go abroad. They offer study abroad grants, internship grants and short stay grants.
If you would like to know directly which grant applies to your specific situation, you can make use of a handy online tool.
