Student Advisors

What does a student advisor do?

You can make an appointment with a student advisor to discuss matters concerning your programme. You can ask questions about the composition of your programme, as well as discuss personal circumstances that may impact your study here at our faculty. Please do not hesitate to contact a student advisor - their doors are always open.

Examples of matters you can discuss are:

  • general information on educational matters and requirements
  • advice in choosing your study programme and/or change of study programme
  • composition of your study programme
  • support for the planning of your study
  • identifying and helping to solve (personal) problems that might affect your study
  • contributing to solving complaints from students
  • advice in the event of a study delay
  • mediation between student and teacher
  • information about job opportunities

If necessary, the student advisor can redirect you to other people or parties (e.g. teachers, international office, student dean, etc.).

A meeting with a student advisor is always confidential. They will only talk to third parties when you give permission to do so.
