Examiners

Approved examiners

People who are eligible to be appointed as internal examiners by the Examining Board of the Faculty of Science are employed by Radboud University and/or Radboud university medical center and are*:

a) employed as a Full Professor, Special Professor, Associate Professor or Assistant Professor; or

b) are employed as a lecturer at the Faculty of Science and are in possession of a UTQ certificate.

*In exceptional situations, the Examining Board can deviate from the requirements, providing that it considers the nominated person suitable. The nomination should be made by the Director of Education or the portfolio holder for faculty-wide education, or the parties to whom that responsibility has been delegated.

Note that PhD's do generally not apply as examiner, but can still be your daily supervisor.

Internal Internship / thesis, Final paper
First Assessor Second Assessor Daily supervisor
an internal, FNWI approved examiner, who evaluates your internship and/or thesis, and presentation. an internal, FNWI approved examiner, who evaluates only your thesis and presentation (optional). does not have to be an examiner and supports you daily during your internship/thesis project. This may be the same person as your first assessor.
External Internship or thesis, Final paper
First Assessor Second Assessor External daily supervisor
an internal, FNWI approved examiner an internal, FNWI approved examiner OR an external approved examiner (from another University) does not have to be an examiner and supports you daily during your internship/thesis project. This may be the same person as your second assessor
Internal or External Internship / Literature thesisNo final paper
First Assessor Daily supervisor
an internal, FNWI approved examiner does not have to be an examiner and supports you daily during your internship/thesis project. This may be the same person as your first assessor.
