When will the schedules be published?
Publication date of the schedules for 2023 - 2024 is 1 July 2023. This applies to all students of all study programmes, and also for the new first-year students. The schedules will be published in your personal schedule and on this website.
When will the course guide be published?
The Course Guide for 2023 - 2024 is live.
Will I need a laptop?
Education within the Faculty of Science makes extensive use of applications that require their own device. It is therefore important that you have your own laptop in order to follow your educational programme ("Bring Your Own Device", BYOD). It must at least meet the following requirements:
- Windows 10
- Intel i5 processor (or comparable: AMD ryzen 5)
- 8 GB internal storage
- 256 GB SSD storage
- Internet connection
- 13 inch display
- Sufficient battery life (at least 4 hours)
- Camera and microphone
For the study programme Computing Science, the following configuration is advised, next to the requirements above:
- Intel i7 processor (or comparable quality of AMD), maximally 2 years old
- 16 GB internal storage
- 512 GB SSD storage
It is possible to buy devices via SURFspot, a non-profit IT web shop with a discount for students on, among other, hardware. Of course, you can also buy your devices somewhere else. Students can download the internet protection package F-secure via SURFspot for free.
