Pre-Master's Adaptive Organisms

The pre-Master's Adaptive Organisms is usually 30 EC and can start in semester 1 and cover several periods of the study year or can run fully in semester 2 from February to July. Starting in September the mandatory courses are clearly marked with mandatory. Optional courses can be taken as additional courses.
Starting the premaster in February means that all blocks (Mon/Tu, Wed, Thu/Fri) need to be filled in Period 3 and in Period 4.

Mon/Tue and Thu/Fri:
Genomics in Health and Environment (NWI-BB086) - with Plant practicals - mandatory

Wed:
Introduction to R Programming (NWI-BB095) - optional
Course runs on campus

Period 2 (Nov - Feb)

Wed:
Introduction to R Programming (NWI-BB095) - optional
Course in self study

Period 3 (Feb - Apr)

Mon/Tue:
Plant Genome Analysis (NWI-BB043B)  - mandatory to choose one of these 2 courses
or
Biotechnology of Plants (NWI-BB032C)

Wed:
Introduction to R Programming (NWI-BB095) - optional
Course in self study
or
Statistics (NWI-BB093) - optional

Thu/Fri:
Animal Adaptation Physiology (NWI-BB020C) - mandatory

Period 4 (Apr - Jul)

Advanced Molecular Biology (NWI-BB017C) - mandatory to choose one of these 2 courses

Wed:
Philosophy & Ethics of Science (NWI-FFIL100)
