Enrolment in the current academic year
Some study programmes (Bachelor- (often excluding first-year students), pre-Master- or Master- level) allow students to enroll later in the academic year, if it fits into the curriculum. In order to do this, you need the permission of the Board of Examiners of the programme. For this you need permission from the admissions committee of the study programme. After your registration request in Studielink you will receive a digital questionnaire. After you have completed this form, the admissions committee will assess whether you can enroll on the date you specified in Studielink.
NB: You cannot enroll with retroactive effect as of 1 September.
To enroll or re-enroll for a study programme after October 1, you can register in Studielink. In both cases, choose “Ad new enrolment application’.
PLEASE NOTE: you can enroll via Studielink until the 20th of the month for an enrolment per the following month. For instance, if you want to enroll for a study programme per December 1st, you have to apply in Studielink before November 20th.
In order to convert your application into enrolment, you have to take care of the following affairs (if applicable).
Arrange your admission to Bachelor, Master, and pre-Master
The Bachelor, pre-Master or Master programme of your choice might have additional admission conditions. In that case, the Student Admissions department will receive your application and check whether you are admissible directly for the study programme you applied for. If you are admitted unconditionally, you can arrange the payment of the tuition fees in Studielink.
It may be possible that the Board of Examiners of the study programme will have to assess your previous education. If that is the case, you will receive login credentials for a digital questionnaire. Please log in, fill out the questionnaire, and upload the requested documents. Do this as soon as possible after receiving the login details. Subsequently, your request for admission will be processed.
The three possible replies:
- You are admitted unconditionally -> You will receive further instructions from Student Admissions on the e-mail address you registered in Studielink. You can now complete your enrolment by arranging the payment of the tuition fees in Studielink.
- You are admitted conditionally -> The decision on your admission will show you the conditions you still have to meet to be admitted definitively. Please check the e-mail address you registered in Studielink for further instructions from Student Admissions. You can complete your enrolment by arranging the payment of the tuition fees in Studielink.
- You are not admitted -> your application in Studielink will be canceled.
Paying the tuition fee
The tuition fees will be proportional to the remaining months in the academic year for which you register: 1/12 of the total tuition fees for every month remaining in the academic year. You can arrange the payment in various ways.
EU/EEA or non-EU/EEA?
If you live in the Netherlands, Germany or Belgium, please send a recent and original excerpt from the Personal Records Database (BRP), also stating your nationality and address. If you do not live in one of these countries (but inside the EU/EEA), please send a scanned copy of your passport of identification-card to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are a non-EU/EEA student, we also require a residence permit in addition to the scanned copy of your passport.
If you are a new student at Radboud University Nijmegen, we need a personal photograph for your student card. You will receive log in credentials when your application is complete. Then you can upload the photo in Osiris.
When all the required documents are processed you will receive a student card (only if this is your first enrolment at RU). You can see your statement of enrolment from that moment on. We strive to send you the student card within 4 weeks after the completion of your enrolment.
If you have any questions concerning education, scheduling or books, check the faculty website of your study programme.
Please mind that a belated enrolment can have consequences for your student grant! Without enrolment, you have no right to any student grant. If you unjustly possess a student travel product, DUO will charge a significant fine.
