Colloquium doctum

If you wish to study at a Dutch research university, you should meet certain criteria to be admissible. Most prospective students do so by obtaining a Dutch vwo diploma or an international diploma that is equivalent to the Dutch vwo. Should you not be admissible on the basis of your diploma and should you be 21 year old or over, then a colloquium doctum might be an option.

What is a colloquium doctum?

The colloquium doctum is a suitability assessment  for a Bachelor’s programme at Dutch Universities. This assessment is initiated by the colloquium doctum committee of the chosen programme.

Who can participate in the colloquium doctum?

You can participate in the colloquium doctum for Artificial Intelligence if you are 21 years old or over and do not have the diploma required to be admitted into the AI Bachelor’s programme. The application deadline for the colloquium doctum that will grant you admission to the academic year 2021/2022 is 15 January 2022.

The entrance examination consists of:

You will have until 31 July 2022 to send in the certificates that prove proficiency in mathematics and English. You will not be needing these certificates during your application process in Studielink, nor during the selection process. After having submitted the certificates, you can request for the interview.
