Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience (NIN)

In July 2021, the Donders Institute and the Netherlands Insistute for Neuroscience (NIN) formalized their collaboration as partners within the Dutch scientific landscape with a memorandum of understanding. The institutes are committed to create a special relation for research synergy and cooperation in addition to the national and international networks in which they already participate.

The purpose of the collaboration between the institutes is to strenghten the possibilities and conditions for research in cognitive and basic neuroscience, both nationally and internationally. The intention of the institutes is to actively promote joint research proposals and look into initiatives to increase funding possibilities, infrastructural support, quality of research, career possibilities of their students and postdocs, and translational options.

Finally, to foster good relations and promote further collabroations between the researchers of both institutes, an annual joint research day is organized, alternating between Nijmegen and Amsterdam.
