A day in the life as a government trainee at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate

Discover what it means to work as a government trainee at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate.

    General

This session is part of the Radboud Career Days Public Sector on 29 September and 1 October. Additionally, please note that this session will be in Dutch.

At the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy (EZK), we believe they can. A strong economy creates jobs, supports pensions and provides assistance to those who need it most. At the same time, a healthy environment depends on a sustainable economy, enabling us to leave a liveable planet for ourselves and future generations. Together, these goals offer a positive outlook for everyone.

From industrial decarbonisation and the energy transition to innovation, entrepreneurship and international cooperation, we work on pressing issues that affect both the Netherlands and the wider world. How can we keep our economy strong and competitive while becoming more sustainable? How do we ensure access to sufficient, affordable and clean energy? And how can we harness new technologies and innovations to prepare the Netherlands for the future?

The wide range of challenges involved requires a broad, interdisciplinary approach. That is why there is a place for people from all backgrounds at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy. What unites us is the ambition to make a meaningful societal impact and to work on solutions that truly matter.

Would you like to work at the intersection of economics, climate, energy and innovation, and discover how you can make a difference? Then join this session and learn more about working at EZK!
