This session is part of the Radboud Career Days Public Sector on 29 September and 1 October. Additionally, please note that this session will be in Dutch.
Working as a policy officer at a municipality is relevant for many different study backgrounds: from spatial planning and public administration to biology, communication, engineering or social sciences. During this session, you can ask all your questions about the role.
In this session, Peter will walk you through his work as a policy officer for climate adaptation and biodiversity at the municipality of Zevenaar, where he contributes both to strategic policy and to concrete projects in the public space: from making sewer systems resilient to heavy rainfall to creating shaded areas and greening residential gardens. The combination of long‑term vision, hands‑on implementation and collaboration with residents makes the work both challenging and enjoyable.
