Our Radboud gesture is all about oral health. A healthy mouth starts from the moment the first tooth breaks through, first under the guidance of the parent. If the child can talk, it wants to be independent and to brush their teeth themselves, more often taught by the parent than by the 'dental professional'.
Although brushing your teeth sounds like a piece of cake for both child and parent, it takes a lot of care - more than people think.
So a healthy mouth starts with yourself, but also with good instructions. As the age-old Dutch saying goes: learned young is done old! That is why Dentistry students will come and give brushing instructions for young (and old, because you are never too old to learn). By instructing and guiding young people, we contribute to oral health in Nijmegen. Together for a beautiful and lasting smile!
