In this lecture, Advan Vila talks about his search for a job and the tasks in his current position as an inspector at the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA).
Advan started the pre-master’s program at Radboud University in 2018 and obtained his master’s degree in 2022 in Adaptive Organisms (OA). This was just before the COVID-19 restrictions ended, and finding a suitable start to his career turned out to be quite challenging. Fortunately, Advan found a place within the Dutch government as a Plant Health inspection officer — something completely different from what he had studied for. Since then, he has been working with great enthusiasm as an inspector and is determined to continue his career in protecting our “Dutch greenery.”
