For the fourth consecutive year, the Department of Art History (RICH) at Radboud University Nijmegen is organising the lecture series Art Histories in Dialogue. This series provides a platform for meaningful exchange between academics, curators, students, and other interested parties. Our aim is to bring together a diverse audience and a range of traditions, fostering reflection and inspiring conversations about how art and culture can be studied.
The first session of this year will take place on Thursday 9 October at 16:00, featuring Renske Cohen Tervaert, curator at the Kröller-Müller Museum, and Joost van der Hoeven, researcher at the Van Gogh Museum. They will discuss their recent exhibitions Charley Toorop: Love for Van Gogh and Matthew Wong | Vincent van Gogh. The discussion will explore how Vincent van Gogh’s work has inspired artists throughout the 20th century and continues to do so today.
Our guest speakers, who will be joining us in Nijmegen for this occasion, will not only present their work but also engage in dialogue with attendees – students, researchers, lecturers, and other interested individuals: join the dialogue!
Language: Dutch. Questions may be asked in English.
