Bouncing ideas with genAI: A research ideation workshop

Thursday 27 August 2026, 12:15 pm - 1:15 pm

Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming the research landscape across disciplines. The IMR Academy offers two workshops on the use of AI in research, which provide practical insights, hands-on experience, and space for critical reflection on how AI can meaningfully support — and responsibly shape — our research practice.

You are welcome to register for individual workshops or for the full event series.

Workshop 1: Bouncing ideas with genAI: A research ideation workshop

This hands-on workshop introduces management researchers to the practical use of generative AI in the early stages of research — from understanding how large language models work to crafting effective prompts that spark new ideas. Participants will explore prompt engineering strategies tailored to academic ideation, discuss the university's research policies on AI use, and share their own experiences and best practices in a collaborative setting. Whether you are AI-curious or already experimenting, this workshop offers concrete tools and peer insights to help you think differently about your research process. Any researcher interested in exploring the possibilities of generative AI as a creative and intellectual partner is warmly welcome to join.

Workshop offered by: Prof. Vera Blazevic and Dr. Karim Sidaoui
