BSI: Presentation Skills

The goal of 'Presentation Skills' is for students to learn to present themselves and their research in an engaging and clear manner to different audiences (i.e. scientific as well as non-scientific audiences). 

    General

    After having finished this course, students will leave knowing how to prepare the following presentation formats:

    1. a 15-minute symposium talk
    2. a 1-minute self-presentation pitch
    3. a conference poster
    4. a 1-minute poster pitch

    Students are expected to:

    • attend at least 5 of the 7 meetings
    • be well-prepared (i.e., studying provided information, thoroughly preparing their presentations) before each meeting
    • actively participate during the meetings by giving feedback to others

    Students who already have data to present are encouraged to subscribe
