Academic year 2025-2026
Due to Rob Gommans (former BSI Data Officer) leaving BSI and the ongoing transition of the data-management responsibilities to Anna Aumeistere, we are, unfortunately, unable to offer the BSI RDM course (1 ECTS) and the one-day workshop for externally funded PhDs in the 2025–2026 academic year. We aim to introduce a new BSI course and workshop at the start of the 2026–2027 academic year.
For now, please follow the BSI procedure below:
- Introduction to RDM
At the start of your PhD, Anna Aumeistere will invite you for a short RDM introduction meeting. Externally funded PhDs may join online.
We advise you to prepare by registering for the following gROW event:
Introduction to Research Data Organisation – https://ru.capp12.nl/events/636 - Training requirements for 2025–2026
We have identified suitable gROW events that temporarily replace the BSI RDM course and workshop and will support you in getting started with data management.
The following events are mandatory for all PhDs starting in 2025–2026:
- Introduction to Research Data Organisation – https://ru.capp12.nl/events/636
- Workshop Data Management Plan – https://ru.capp12.nl/events/637
- Introduction to Data Anonymisation – https://ru.capp12.nl/events/633
- Personal Data in Research – https://ru.capp12.nl/events/638
The events below are optional and may become relevant later in your project:
- Radboud Data Repository – Getting started – https://ru.capp12.nl/events/634
- Radboud Data Repository – Archiving & Publishing – https://ru.capp12.nl/events/635
- Recording Audio & Video in Research – https://ru.capp12.nl/events/839
In this transition phase, we aim to provide clear and consistent policy for all PhDs. If you are an externally funded PhD and this procedure does not fit your situation, please contact Anna for advice.
Completed activities can be added to your training portfolio in Hora Finita. They will be reviewed and approved at the beginning of each month.
