BSI Sandwich Science will be launching soon: a new BSI colloquium series designed to share research, gain a better understanding of who is doing what within the BSI, encourage collaboration and, above all, inspire one another. It is also an opportunity to enjoy an informal lunchtime meeting with colleagues, with lunch provided by the BSI.
For each BSI Sandwich Science session, three BSI members, both junior and senior, will be invited to give a short presentation of around ten minutes. Each speaker will have a 15-minute slot to use as they wish, for example, a five-minute presentation followed by ten minutes of discussion. The content is entirely up to you: an overview of your research area, a key insight, a specific study and finding you are particularly enthusiastic about, or a research idea on which you would like feedback or for which you are seeking collaborators. While the audience enjoys lunch, the atmosphere will be relaxed, accessible and informal.
The first BSI Sandwich Science session is scheduled for 29 September, from 12.15 pm to 1.15 pm.
