The Nijmegen Campus Poet Election is organized by Cultuur op de Campus, Op Ruwe Planken, and Poëziecentrum Nederland, in collaboration with the current campus poet, Jet Sterkman. During the final on May 27, a professional jury will select the ultimate winner from three finalists, who will hold the position of Campus Poet of Radboud University Nijmegen for an academic year.
The final will take place in the botanical garden De Hortus, behind Park Brakkenstein. Free entry. Doors open at 19:15 and last until approximately 22:00, concluding with drinks.
The jury consists of Simon Mamahit (City Poet), Jarmo van Dam (former Campus Poet), and another representative from Radboud University. The three finalists will recite poems and answer questions. Featuring performances by Simon Mamahit and current Campus Poet Jet Sterkman, among others.
