During this walk, organised as part of the Biodiversity Challenge, a guide will show you all the different species of birds that can be found on campus. We’ll also be counting the birds. This way, you’ll be helping to monitor the bird population on campus! No prior knowledge is required, by the way.
Which birds feature in the top ten? In the 2025 bird count, the Jackdaw was the most frequently observed bird, with 36 sightings. The year before, the Jackdaw was tied with the Wood Pigeon, but the latter species is now seen much less frequently. With 17 sightings (0 last year), the Fieldfare is a real climber in the rankings. Are you also curious about this year’s developments? Join in and sign up!
