Every year, the Dutch Dachau Committee (NDC) organizes the Dachau Lecture. This is always in the light of a Dutchman who was imprisoned in Dachau. This year the lecture is in the light of Titus Brandsma.
Titus Brandsma was rector magnificus of the (then) Catholic University of Nijmegen and a shining example of his uncompromising attitude towards the Nazis, both before and during the Second World War, an attitude he had to endure on 26 July 1942 in the Dachau concentration camp.
The Dutch Dachau Committee and Radboud University want to give Titus Brandsma, who was canonized in 2022, a prominent place in the year in which Radboud University celebrates its 100th anniversary. Minister of Education, Prof. Robbert Dijkgraaf, who received an honorary doctorate from Radboud University in 2013, will deliver the Dachau Lecture.
This event will be held in Dutch. Follow the livestream here.
