One of the ways in which education can be good is that it is meaningful or perceived as meaningful by students, teachers and society. But what does that mean specifically? When is education meaningful?
In this dialogue session, we will discuss dilemmas related to the different ways in which students, teachers and society (labor market, business, global citizens, future generations) can interpret what makes education meaningful. Consider, for example, the design of the campus and distance education, the role of students' own choices, attention to student welfare, etc.
Come to this session if you want to put your ideas about meaningful education in the spotlight and reflect on meaningful education from different perspectives. Ask a student to join you, if you are a teacher. And ask a teacher or a citizen (your mother, neighbor, your boss) to join you, if you are a student!
