The Gender, Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the Faculty of Science is launching a Diversity and Inclusion Lecture Series. We are pleased to announce that the kick-off lecture will be given by Prof. Dr Jessica Dempsey. Jessica Dempsey has been the director of the NWO institute ASTRON since 2022 and a Professor by special appointment for Ethics in Astronomy at our Faculty since 2023. Jessica is a strong advocate for greater diversity, equality, and opportunity in astronomy. Her passion for creating an inclusive and respectful environment has far-reaching implications for science beyond her field.
After the presentation, there will be an opportunity to discuss the topic further while enjoying a drink.
