Diversity Day Netherlands is a day when companies recognize the fact that diverse teams translate into greater creativity, insights and productivity. It acknowledges that everyone is unique and different and together form a strong whole. On Diversity Day, companies organize their own activities to draw attention to diversity. In this way, we are all taking a step in the right direction: a society in which we value and utilize everyone’s unique talents.
Diversity Day at Radboud! we believe that only when we create room for and celebrate differences can we make vital contributions that drive change in education, research and impact lives. Diversity day 2022 is an opportunity for us to share, discuss and find opportunities to collaborate to achieve the goal of creating equitable societies.
From 10 am – 12 pm, we will have conversations about where we are, what we achieved, and where we want to be with different partners (e.g., HAN, Max Planck Institute, and Radboud University). This is followed by a guest lecture on Diversity and Inclusion.
In the afternoon (1 – 5 pm), please join the symposium 'Bridging the Gap, organized by The department of Behaviour Change and Well-Being of the Behavioural Science Institute (BSI). The aim is to bring together scientists and practitioners to discuss insights, learnings, best practices and how to best move forward. While much work has been done by both academics and organizations on topics related to diversity, there remains a great need to encourage further dialogue between science and practice. To foster this dialogue, we have invited two speakers from academia and two from industry to share their work & experiences. The talks are followed by a panel discussion. Afterwards, we will end with drinks (5 pm - 6:30 pm). We do hope you can join us, and we look forward to meeting you.
In the evening, please join the DEI office in partnership with Radboud Reflects as our Radboud scholars join in conversation with speaker Babah Tarawally. Please register on Radboud Reflects website for this event.
