DOLS
By sounding out life stories, DOLS explores how history can be made audible in a meaningful way. Think of the fortunes of peasant families in times of survival agriculture in the first half of the nineteenth century and of 'machine people' who not long after started populating the first industrial cities, but also of the adventures of tone artist Nicolas Reubsaet (1843-1887) at home and abroad and of typical coming-of-age themes such as falling down and getting up.
Over DOLS
DOLS is the musical project around historian Chris Dols (1985). With four records in its pocket, the act played itself to the Valkhof Festival (2019), Liberation Festival Limburg (2022), Anne Soldaat's support act (2022) and Poppodium Nieuwe Nor (2023). In early 2020, DOLS picked up a nomination for Best Newcomer at the 3voor12 Gelderland Awards. The concept album Veurvaajers (2022) managed to make it into the columns of NRC and Heaven Magazine.
Radboud Art & Science Festival
This event is part of Radboud Art & Science. On 19, 20 and 21 October, immerse yourself in the world of art and science on the university campus.
Let yourself be transported to the past through music, film, and dance. Walk past photo exhibitions, light installations and visual art that give you a unique perspective of the campus. There will also be live concerts, performances, and interactive performances in unexpected places. In doing so, we delve into the university's heritage, history and day-to-day operations, and explore the stories of students, researchers and other staff.
Entrance to Radboud Art & Science is free and everyone is welcome. Will you be there?
