Endometriosis is a chronic condition often accompanied by severe pain and a reduced quality of life. Many women eventually undergo surgery, but improvements in quality of life after the procedure are often limited. This dissertation investigated whether psychological therapy can play a role in addressing this issue. The results show that such therapy can indeed contribute to a better quality of life for women with endometriosis. However, this does not mean that every woman with endometriosis will automatically benefit from this treatment. Quality of life is influenced by many different factors, making personalized care essential. High-quality endometriosis care therefore requires more than just relieving physical symptoms: the whole patient deserves attention.
