Experimental Sustainable Finance Symposium

Wednesday 24 April 2024, 6 pm - Friday 26 April 2024, 6 pm

On April 24-26, 2024, we host the first Experimental Sustainable Finance Symposium at Nijmegen School of Management, Radboud University, in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.

Our symposium focuses on the utilization of the Experimental Finance methodology – as delineated in the Handbook of Experimental Finance (Füllbrunn and Haruvy, 2022) – in the context of contemporary research inquiries within Sustainable Finance – discussed, e.g. in the special issue of the Review of Finance (Edmans and Kacperczyk, 2022). Participating scholars will convey insights from ongoing and previously published research, thoroughly analyze the methodological strengths and limitations, and contemplate novel applications of this approach.

Confirmed speakers are A Nguyen-Huu, A Nicklisch, B Dong, C Siemroth, J Famulok, J Kölbel, JP Rabanal, K Kaivanto, M Briere, M Seifert, M Willinger, P Jiao, P Smeets, R Ishikawa / E Akiyama, R Schwaiger, S Duchene, S Füllbrunn, S Mustafazade, S Pouget, S Ramelli, S Zeisberger, and W Szymczak.

We acknowledge funding from Fritz Thyssen Stiftung für Wirtschaftsförderung, UM-Behavioral Insights Center and the NSM’s hotspot Integrated Decision Making
