Forgive me for I have Synthed

Thursday 19 October 2023, 6:30 pm - Saturday 21 October 2023, 5 pm

Get to work with analogue synthesisers yourself and learn about different forms of synthesis and music production as it was decades ago.

Date, time, and location to be announced later

Walk-in workshop

Wondering how a modular synthesiser works? What forms of synthesis there are and how they work? How to programme drums on a drum machine and how to use these elements together to make live electronic music? You will learn and discover this and more during a walk-in workshop where you will get to work with different synths and drum computers!

About Space Ventura

Wouter Messelink produces electronic music and performs with a live act under the name Space Ventura. He is also a Sound Designer for applied (non-linear) media. Space Ventura hopes to enthuse visitors, inspire them, impart knowledge, convey cultural impact synthesizers and, above all, let them experience and hear for themselves what it is like to turn the knobs.

Radboud Art & Science Festival

This event is part of Radboud Art & Science. On 19, 20 and 21 October, immerse yourself in the world of art and science on the university campus.

Let yourself be transported to the past through music, film, and dance. Walk past photo exhibitions, light installations and visual art that give you a unique perspective of the campus. There will also be live concerts, performances, and interactive performances in unexpected places. In doing so, we delve into the university's heritage, history and day-to-day operations, and explore the stories of students, researchers and other staff.

Entrance to Radboud Art & Science is free and everyone is welcome. Will you be there?
