In fairy tales, swamps are creepy and full of evil spirits and monsters. You can easily get lost there and maybe even drown. Because it's very wet there. That's because they've been the sponges of the earth for thousands of years.
You'll get to see for yourself how swamps can be so wet, and which plants can still live there, including carnivorous plants! You'll go from very big to very small, and look for yourself with a digital microscope at the little plants that keep everything so wet, and at the little creatures that live there. Come along into the swamp, because it's actually really fun there!
In Professorproef XL, Radboud scientists answer all the questions children can think of. First they give a mini-lecture, and then the children get to go wild.
