Gaming for better health? VR biofeedback for stress training

Friday 12 May 2023, 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm
A Radboud Gesture

Stress is everywhere in society. It sometimes helps us to perform better, but can also have negative effects. In this Radboud gesture, young people can become acquainted with a new training course developed by Raboud University to better deal with stress. By gaming! In this challenging virtual reality game you are trained to control your biological stress reactions through biofeedback. This game was originally developed for the police, but may also be used for others. Young people are an interesting target group for this, because they often enjoy games and can greatly benefit from timely learning to recognize and control stress reactions. In this Radboud gesture we demonstrate the game to a group of young people to teach them about their stress reactions in an entertaining way.
