Grief support group for students on Friday afternoon

Grief is often a hidden issue among students. Loss is painful, and grieving can look like a lonesome road. During these sessions we offer a safe place to dwell on memories, sadness and grief. How do I combine my grief with my studies? And how do I share my feelings with others? This is an English speaking Grieving group. For a Dutch grieving group, check our website

    General

In a small group, we reflect on:

    • loss, grief and studying, how does that go together?
    • sharing grief with your immediate environment, is that possible?
    • ways of coping, which one suits you best?
    • your unique loss coping process, where nothing is strange.

All RU and HAN students are welcome. The group meets 5 times and is guided by Jolinde Lucas (studentchaplain).

Students feedback that they enjoy sharing their experiences with fellow students who have gone through something similar. The group is low-threshold and appeals to students who want to consciously reflect on their loss experience.
